We praise the Lord for you our faithful partners who pray for us and for CLI. May the Name of Jesus be glorified in your life. May you experience Him as a strong tower, in whom you can find refuge and shelter in the time of storm. May you know that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it. As you line up your will with His, may He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will rejoice with you when you are victorious! (Psalm 20).
CLI will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary this year. Hither to hath the Lord helped us. God has been so faithful to us over the years and we are very grateful. Over the last two months God gave us some interesting opportunities.

On November 24, Dr. Donovan Thomas was in the Senate as part of the Technical Team supporting the Minister of Education on Suicide Prevention. During the Minister’s presentation he made mention of the support that CLI has given and continues to give in the area of suicide prevention. During the discussion that ensued, Mr Lambert Brown, opposition Senator, praised Dr. Thomas /CLI for his work in suicide prevention, an invaluable contribution to the nation. One individual remarked afterwards, “I’m pleased that both sides applauded your work.” Praise the Lord!

In November also, Donovan was the guest speaker at the launch of the Seaview Gardens District Consultative Committee under the auspices of the Custos, Dr. Patricia Dunwell where he spoke on Five Principles for Success. Praise God for these opportunities.

Midland Bible Institute invited CLI to partner with them in a one-day seminar open to various stakeholders on Suicide Prevention. Participants felt it was informative, interactive and inspirational. One lady who had planned to leave early, because it was a Friday, stayed for the day, because she found the information very beneficial.
In December, we made a presentation to the teens on Suicide Prevention at Miracle Open Bible Church. It was a very interactive and participatory session. Our teens were empowered to choose life and to help others.

Our culminating activity for the year was at National Safety where we did a 3-hr seminar on Happiness for their Christmas Staff Luncheon. It went very well. One participant wrote, “I would like to say thank you for this seminar. It was just what I needed…” Another said, “This was God speaking directly to me as I made the choice to forgive and to pursue a more happy and healthier life.”
